Good for Shopify integration

I started with Shippo a few months ago after trying a competitor. The initial setup with my Shopify store was pretty easy, took about 15 minutes to get the integration working. I primarily use it for printing USPS labels. Delivery of the service is instant, obviously, since it's digital labels. I did have a question about a specific tracking API feature once, and their support got back to me within a day which was helpful. The address verification caught a typo on one order, which saved me a headache. The only minor gripe is sometimes the UI feels a little cluttered, but overall it works well.

Do they let you connect your own carrier accounts, like if I already have a UPS account with my own negotiated rates? Or do I have to use theirs?

Yep, you totally can. I linked my FedEx account no problem. It just pulls in your rates and lets you print from there.

The 'free trial' is kinda like their starter plan. You just sign up and can start printing labels, no monthly fee initially. You only pay for labels after a certain amount. It's not a timed trial if that's what you mean.

It's more like a free tier for basic usage, rather than a limited-time trial. You get a certain number of free labels or something, then it's pay-as-you-go. So yeah, you can try out the label printing without paying upfront.

Promo codes are pretty rare for Shippo, honestly. They mostly rely on their discounted carrier rates and the free starter plan. Sometimes partners have referral codes though.

I've been using them for a while and don't think I've ever seen a general promo code. Usually, any 'deals' are like, referral credits or specific carrier discounts already built-in. Don't hold your breath for a coupon, but the rates are good anyway.
